![]() Thank you for you interest in helping our organization. There are a wide variety of ways you can offer your valuable time and skills to SELR. For those who enjoy working with the animals, the foster centers always welcome help with shearing and general herd health care as well as training. For those of you who prefer to stay clean, we welcome your assistance with educational and fundraising opportunities at both local and regional events. We have an ongoing need for experienced llama owners to participate as mentors for those who need a bit of help and support as they begin their journey into the wonderful world of llamas and alpacas. Additionally, transportation of animals is a huge challenge for us and any help in that regard is very much appreciated. Foster homes are, of course, essential to what we do and it seems that each year our needs increase. Please help us make sure that when the call comes - whether it be someone hoping to surrender an animal or someone hoping to provide a loving home, our answer remains "Yes! We can help!" If there is not a coordinator in your state, please contact our national volunteer coordinator Sandy to volunteer in any capacity. If you need information or assistance with yLlamas for Adoption , contact her and she'll look for a volunteer mentor near you. We also welcome 4-H and similar clubs and are looking forward to hearing from you! |
